Most clients begin with weekly sessions, especially in the early stages of therapy or during structured treatment such as EMDR or ERP.
Session frequency is always flexible and may be adjusted based on your needs and goals, which we’ll discuss together.
Your initial intake session lasts approximately 60 minutes and is a time for us to get to know one another and begin understanding your concerns and goals for therapy.
If you are seeking services for a child, the first session is typically held with the therapist and parent or legal guardian(s) only. This allows us to gather relevant background information and better understand your child’s needs, strengths, and history. We will begin developing a treatment plan that supports your goals for therapy.
Prior to your appointment, you will receive a secure link to complete intake paperwork. Completing these forms in advance helps us make the most of your time during the first session.
For clients participating in EMDR or ERP, 60-minute sessions are often recommended to allow adequate time for treatment. Session length may be adjusted based on clinical needs.
Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted forms of payment include all major credit cards, HSA, FSA, and exact cash. A valid credit card is kept securely on file and will be charged unless another arrangement is made in advance.
A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a late cancellation or no-show fee, which is charged at the full session rate.
Please call, text, or email to notify me if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Bloom Haven Counseling is a private pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
This allows for more personalized, flexible care without the limitations often required by insurance companies.
A superbill (itemized receipt) can be provided upon request for clients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and clients are responsible for submitting claims directly to their insurance provider.
The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of services that can be reasonably expected and can be provided at request. This estimate is based on presenting concerns and frequency of sessions that will be discussed during the intake session. This estimate does not account for any unexpected costs that might arise during treatment and does not estimate other costs associated with provider recommendations. The Good Faith Estimate is an estimate for services only and does not include other fees, such as late cancellation or no show fees. This estimate is by no means a contract and does not obligate you to receive the services listed. If you are billed for more than the Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill and to ask for an updated bill to match the Good Faith Estimate, or ask to negotiate the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Whether you have questions or you're ready to schedule your first appointment, I'm here to help make the process feel simple and supportive.
